Happy New Year everyone and welcome to our first newsletter for 2017. We’re looking forward to working with you and supporting your broadcast needs throughout the year ahead.
In early Nautel news we would like to extend sincere congratulations and best wishes to our good friend John Abdnour on the announcement of his retirement after a distinguished 51 year career in broadcasting. Since 2009 John has been Nautel’s Asia/Pacific Regional Manager and we are privileged to have worked closely with him over the past 8 years. John has made many friends in Australia through his regular visits and we’re sure they join us in sending best wishes to him and his wife Toni for a happy, healthy and very well earned retirement!
Returning to the role of Nautel’s Asia/Pacific Regional Manager is Chuck Kelly, a veteran of the broadcast industry who brings a wealth of experience to the region he regards as a second home. Welcome back Chuck and we look forward to seeing you back in Oz very soon!
Meanwhile, for those of you celebrating the occasion later this week, Happy Australia Day! Our office will be closing for 2 days on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th January with business as usual from Monday 31st.

Sonifex Reference Monitor ‘Enhanced Clarity’ EQ Firmware Upgrade
A new version of firmware for the Reference Monitor has been issued which significantly improves the sound in the newer products. It’s recommended for download by anyone using the RM-2S4, RM-4C8 and RM-2S10 products. The hardware was redesigned in 2015 with a new speaker system and this upgrade utilizes a number of features in the unit, including the built-in 5 band parametric EQ, to enhance the sound output.
