Overview
This professional-quality PCI sound card offers unbalanced stereo input and output at the standard 2Vrms line level, and is fully compatible with the Wave, DirectSound, DirectShow and MCI API’s. The card can also be reconfigured to operate as two independent mono channels.
The inputs and/or outputs can be either grounded to the PC chassis or electronically floated to eliminate ground loop problems.
24-bit A/D and D/A converters are used along with an on-board digital signal processor that provides audio buffering, sampling rate conversion, level adjustment, mixing and bus-master transfers to and from the PC. All of the common sampling rates from 8kHz to 48kHz are supported with 32, 24, 16 or 8 bit PCM data, and may be set independently on the input and output. The Windows kernel mixer and kernel splitter allow any number of applications to simultaneously access the card.
The card’s mixer functions provide input and output level control, muting and metering. The line input can be mixed back to the output while a DRM-compliant digital loopback is also provided from the output back to the input.
