What’s in store from Davicom this year?

The Countdown has started for the all new Davicom unit being launched on 28th March and on show for the first time at this year’s NAB! With ultra low energy consumption and an industrial temperature range (-40C to +70C) for extreme conditions, we’re excited to be finding out two new features every two days between now and the official unveiling. Latest feature announcements hot off the press include dual firmware memory spaces for virtually unbrickable upgrades and an SNMP-Manager with up to 1024 GET, SET and TRAP commands to manage external devices.

Orban Brings Next-Generation AM Processing to NAB

Orban, the leader in world-class audio processing, will demonstrate XPN-AM, a new way to manage audio processing for AM stations.

XPN-AM is the result of more than five years of research by processing pioneer Bob Orban. It exploits a psychoacoustic model to maximize the reach and intelligibility of AM transmissions while lowering distortion and reducing listening fatigue. At NAB, Bob Orban will conduct a demonstration of XPN-AM versus other current AM processors, utilizing a Nautel J1000 AM transmitter to most accurately show real-world conditions. NEW Inovonics RDS Encoder
On show at NAB this year is the new Inovonics 732 Advanced Dynamic RDS Encoder. Adding greater functionality and the latest in RDS technology, the new product includes:

Additions to Sonifex’s AES67 Talkback Intercom Range at NAB 2018

NEW from Sonifex at this year’s show will be the expanded range of AVN talkback intercom products. Now available in 6, 10 and 20 station versions, the talkback intercoms use AES67 AoIP natively to connect devices together over a standard Ethernet network, allowing simple installation and web-browser configuration. Ideal for OB trucks, theatres, production galleries and inter-studio comms, these products feature advanced echo cancellation and mic AGC to prevent acoustic feedback and provide a huge range of versatility for mixing and routing broadcast quality audio.
