Tieline Gateway and Gateway 4 Codec – New Firmware Released

Leading codec manufacturer Tieline has released the highly anticipated Tieline codec firmware update v3.08.40 for Gateway and Gateway 4 codecs

Major features in this release include:

  • Added additional Ember+ items, including the following:
    • Connection control and status
    • Program loading/unloading
    • Audio input and output control and status incl. PPMs
  • Support 64 Livewire GPIO ports on all platforms
  • Codec reboot and log download buttons now available on the WebGUI landing page, under Advanced Options in the Help box
  • SIP compatibility improvements
  • A range of bug fixes (listed below)

The new release is a free upgrade for existing customers.

Tieline codec firmware update v3.08.40 for Gateway and Gateway 4 codecs bug fixes include:

  • Bug fixes:
    • Fixed memory leak issue that could occur when CCC is enabled without a valid DNS being set
    • Fixed issue where codec could crash when changing audio input type
    • Fixed noise gate and expander (previously was not being activated at all)
    • Fixed issues where program would not retain Unconfigured Account setting
    • Fixed erroneous “Interface is not enabled” warning when selecting interface by priority for SIP based programs
    • Fixed issue where Tielink SS+ redundant streams would not auto-reconnect when using Discrete Once Only
    • Fixed issue where changing the PPM mode would cause the front-panel UI to freeze
    • Fixed issue where AoIP SAP announcements weren’t being sent when in PTP master mode
    • Fixed issue where the host name was always appended to the advertised stream name for Ravenna streams
    • Fixed issue where the time to audio output source failover took longer than the configured value
    • Fixed issue where changes to Compressor Make-Up gain setting could break the display graph
    • Fixed issue where Program Template displayed User Defined for all programs, regardless of the type
    • Fixed issue where NMOS registry settings weren’t editable while NMOS service was enabled
    • Fixed issue where disconnection the first stream could lead to multiple answering streams to disconnect
    • Fixed issue where folders in the File Manager panel would not be visible
    • Fixed issue where NTP sync couldn’t be disabled from the front-panel UI
    • Fixed issue where headphone volume changes on the WebGUI would not be reflected on the front-panel UI
  • WebGUI v2.18.107:
    • Fixed issue where AoIP destinations panel could get stuck when saving settings
    • Numerous language translation fixes
    • Fixed issues with AoIP destination hiding when changing between mono and multi-channel
    • Fixed issue where SIP interface and/or account couldn’t be enabled while connection panel is open and a program is loaded
    • Fixed issues with AoIP panels where the table cog would sometimes not work correctly
    • Fixed issue where SIP account couldn’t be removed from a program
    • Fixed issue where rules panel wouldn’t open when AoIP mode set to WNIP
    • Fixed issues with Node-ID table in AoIP Services panel
    • Local audio port now displayed as part of connection runtime info
    • Fixed issue where live properties for asymmetric encoder/decoder were switched
