Windows 11 Update for Flashlog 8 Users

Flashlog 8 is now fully compatible with Windows 11

Flashlog has been a trusted part of the Australian radio broadcast industry for many years, and we truly appreciate your ongoing support.

As many of you know, Microsoft will be discontinuing support for Windows 10 later this year. From October 14, 2025, Windows 10 systems will no longer receive security updates or technical assistance. Systems will continue to run, however many IT departments will require an update to the operating system.

We’re pleased to announce that Flashlog 8 is fully compatible with Windows 11. While an immediate upgrade isn’t necessary, we recommend contacting our office when the time comes, to ensure your hardware is compatible. In some cases, a BIOS update may be required.

Please note that we no longer support Windows 7 systems or Flashlog 7. An upgrade of both the operating system and Flashlog software would be required to future-proof these loggers.

If you experience a system failure, remember that purchasing a new logger isn’t your only option as we also offer a relicensing service for Flashlog 8. For systems over five years old, a fee of $875 + GST currently applies. This includes two activation codes and five years of support.

To ensure your Flashlog operates seamlessly, it’s a good practice to install updates as they become available. We’ll continue to provide these updates on our website and notify you of their availability through our newsletter. The current release is 8.05r7.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to help!
